Yes. Customers can submit blueprints, rough drawings, or measurements, and North Star Metals custom cuts roofing, siding, and trim to match, eliminating the need to modify standard stock lengths on-site.

North Star Metals uses a 20-foot computerized trim break to bend custom trim — including gable (rake) and outside corner trim — to the exact length your job needs. Standard trim length is 12 feet 6 inches across all trim profiles, and custom lengths are bent to order.

North Star Metals offers 29-gauge 5-rib Star Panel and 26-gauge Standing Seam (Snaplock) roofing. Standing Seam has no exposed fasteners on the panel face.

No. Color availability varies by panel profile. Every color is available in at least one roofing-capable profile (Star Panel, Snaplock, SS150, or PBR) and at least one siding profile, but not every color is stocked across all six profiles. North Star Metals confirms exact color-to-profile availability when you place your order.

We recommend screwing in the flat part right beside the rib, starting with the overlapping rib. You will get 4 screws across — the fifth rib will get overlapped by the next panel. Put a row of screws approximately every 24″ to 32″ along the length of the panel.

One edge of the panel has a flat edge about 1/4″ long — this is the purlin bearing rib. On the other edge, the rib does not come quite to the bottom flat section. The edge with the 1/4″ flat part must ALWAYS be the LEADING edge as you install.

Yes. For board and batten, standing seam, and snap-lock profiles, our mobile roll-forming trailers can produce panels at any length. We bring the roll former to your job site and run each panel continuously from eave to ridge, no matter how long the run. That means no end laps, a cleaner finished look, and no worrying about transporting oversized panels.
