North Star Metals Star Panel Inc.’s is a highly popular, economical solution to cover the most important exterior part of your home. Star Panel is a 29 gauge material with a 40 yr limited warranty. It is used for general roofing and wall applications using exposed fasteners.

Our Star Panel Profile has a 36 inch coverage with a full 29 gauge thickness. Star Panels can be installed over an open purlin system or a solid substrate, and used for exterior and interior applications. They are precisely formed with clean, distinct lines, and intricately designed with a five degree over-bend on the overlap combined with an anti-siphon groove on the underlap for superior weather tightness a design that also creates a less noticeable overlap, resulting in a more beautiful application.

The Ceranamel™ XT-40S coil coating finishes provide a new level of long-term exterior performance for building product applications. Formulated with a proprietary Super Durable Polyester resin, it provides superior resistance to chalking, fading and environmental weathering, using only the highest quality exterior-grade and cool pigmentation for the best available long-term UV radiation color and gloss retention. Ceranamel™ XT-40S finishes are designed for application to primed Hot Dipped Galvanized, Zinc-Aluminum Alloy Steel (Zincalume®, Galvalume®), Cold Rolled Steel and Aluminum substrates, and are available in cool pigmentations meeting Energy Star solar reflectance criteria.

North Star Metals Inc. (NSMI) warrants that the XT-40 Super Durable SMP Coil Coating Systems Energy Star approved with cool pigments in accordance with Dura Coat Products Inc. data sheets, will not under normal atmospheric conditions:

01. Chip, crack or peel for a period of forty (40) years from date of sale.

02. Chalk in excess of a numerical rating of (8) for thirty (30) years from date of installation on vertical (sidewall) applications; on horizontal (roofing), chalk will not exceed a numerical rating of (6).

03. Fade or change color in excess of (5) E units for thirty (30) years on vertical (sidewall) and (7) E units on horizontal (roofing) applications, calculated in accordance with ASTM D-2244. Labor costs to re-coat a field failure are included.

04. Coverage is warranted against red rust for a period of ten (10) years, no greater than one half inch from the cut edge.

This warranty is restricted to failures resulting from normal weathering, and does not include failures caused by scratches, scrapes, improper handling, storage, or any unnatural damage. NSMI accepts no responsibility for damages caused by acts of God, radiation, falling objects, explosions or other external forces beyond NSMI’s control.
